Terms of use
Last updated 5 November 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and The Open Apps, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"), for the Tarot Sky plugin in ChatGPT, the Tarot Sky connector in Claude and Grok, and the website tarotsky.ambientapp.ai. By using Tarot Sky you accept them. The privacy policy explains how we handle data.
1. What Tarot Sky is
Tarot Sky lays out tarot spreads, explains the 78 cards, and calculates natal charts and the current sky from an ephemeris, so your AI assistant can write a reading that ties the cards to your chart. It costs nothing to use and has no ads or accounts. OpenAI provides ChatGPT, Anthropic provides Claude and xAI provides Grok; none of them is a party to these terms, and Tarot Sky is not affiliated with them.
2. For reflection and entertainment
Tarot and astrology are tools for reflection. Tarot Sky doesn't predict the future, and nothing it returns, or that your assistant writes from it, is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Don't make health, legal or money decisions based on a reading. If you are struggling, talk to someone you trust or a professional.
3. Who can use Tarot Sky
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, use Tarot Sky with a parent's or guardian's agreement. In Claude and Grok, which are for adults, you must be 18 or older.
4. Accuracy
Planet positions come from Astronomy Engine, a published ephemeris accurate to well under a degree. Houses use the whole-sign system. Card meanings are our own interpretations of a long tradition, and astrological correspondences follow the Golden Dawn system.
5. Card art and our content
The card pictures are scans of historical decks in the public domain:
- Pamela Colman Smith's drawings for the 1909 deck published in London by William Rider & Son, scanned from a 1909 printing;
- Jean Dodal's Tarot de Marseille (Lyon, about 1701), from the Bibliothèque nationale de France's copy;
- Oswald Wirth's 22 major arcana (Paris, 1889), from the Bibliothèque nationale de France's copy.
The scans come from Wikimedia Commons; each card's source is listed in the 1909 list, the Dodal list and the Wirth list. "Rider-Waite" and "Rider-Waite-Smith" are trademarks of U.S. Games Systems, Inc.; Tarot Sky is not affiliated with or endorsed by U.S. Games Systems. The card meanings, the frames and the website are ours: you may use them for your own readings, but don't copy them in bulk, resell them or use them to train other services. Readings your assistant writes for you are yours.
6. Fair use
Don't use Tarot Sky to break the law, call it in bulk with bots or scripts, or interfere with the service. We may limit or block access that does.
7. The service
We work to keep Tarot Sky available but can't promise it always will be. Spreads, art sets and features may change. We may end the service; if we do, we will say so on this website first.
8. Liability
Tarot Sky is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on a reading, our total liability for any claim about Tarot Sky is limited to $50, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law, or liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise.
